A blonde thought if she died her hair brown she would become smarter.

Whilst driving in the country she spotted this farmer herding sheep and asked him “If I guess how many sheep you have will you let me have one?”

The man said “Sure.” Well she looked over and over and said 73.

He said “Wow your good.”

So the blonde claimed her prize.

While walking her back to the car the man said “If I guess your hair color can you give me my dog back?”

  1. If you’re going to be telling jokes about dumb people, you should use spelling and grammar check.

hate to burst your bubble, but “died” should be “dyed”. enjoy your hair color

  3. I like how you think spell check will catch a word that is spelled correctly, but used in the wrong context.

  4. He said spelling and grammar check.

  5. He said “Wow your good.” should be “Wow you’re good.” :/

  6. Obviously, the dumbing down of America is proceeding nicely. All of the grammatical errors pointed out are true. Yet, this person can have a web site. I am guessing that, like most people, he doesn’t care one bit about spelling or grammar. It’s always the same excuse, “Well you know what I mean.” Dumb asses!

Who said that the people replying come from America?
For example, I come from Australia.

  8. Unfortunately, English spelling is inconsistent and irrational. There is absolutely no reason why words such as ‘daughter’ and ‘laughter’ should be pronounced differently.

Language evolves. As the needs of the speakers change, so does the language. Spelling can and should change to become more consistent. Why is it important to spell ‘to’, ‘too’, and ‘two’ differently when they are pronounced identically? ‘Your’ and ‘you’re’, ‘for’, ‘four’, and ‘fore’, and so on. This is a holdover from days when the words were pronounced differently, or showing their origins from other languages.

None of this is relevant any more. People have enough to remember, without filling their minds with senseless and inconsistent rules of spelling that in fact vary between different English-speaking countries. It doesn’t matter that someone chose you’re when he meant your, or vice versa. Who cares? Or, since obviously some people do care, *why* do they care? It’s simply snobbery.

Misspelling words doesn’t necessarily mean a person is unintelligent, despite what some may claim. It could also mean a person simply doesn’t consider the form of the message as important as the content. I sympathize. The meaning is what matters, as long as it remains clear. Adding a stray apostrophe or getting a few letters wrong doesn’t garble the meaning.
