A guy walks in and asks the bartender, “Isn’t that Bush and Powell sitting over there?” The bartender says, “Yep, that’s them.” So the guy walks over and says, “Wow, this is a real honor. What are you guys doing in here?”Bush says, “We’re planning WWIII. And the guy says, “Really? What’s going to happen?”
Bush says, “Well, we’re going to kill 140 million Iraqis this time and one bicycle repairman.”
The guy exclaimed, “A bicycle repairman!!! Why kill a bicycle repairman?”
Bush turns to Powell, punches him on the shoulder and says, “See, dummy! I told you no one would worry about the 140 million Iraqis!”

That’s a good joke… but at its peak, the population of Iraq was about 30 million people… so it kind of ruins your joke and makes the person telling it look stupid.

That may be the case stan but not everyone is going to have a stick up their ass about such particulars as you do and will just enjoy the joke for what it is.

Or does it make it more believable since its Bush saying it, and lets face it, he probably cant even point to Iraq on a map..
The joke is better with “140 million”. It’s an exaggeration, which makes the joke work better. I’m sure anyone with a sense of humor would realize that. In fact, I would say anyone who nit-picked at every little inaccuracy would be considered a Fact Nazi and look stupid for not getting the humor in the joke. What am I saying, you can’t “look” stupid from something that’s written. Duh, everyone knows that. You can “come off” stupid, or “sound” stupid from a written piece. For example, “A person writing a reply to a good joke, saying it’s ‘ruined’ due to some minor technicality, would *sound* stupid and humorless.”
This joke isn’t even funny. Even if you just want to make fun of Bush you can do better.
